Well, that joke backfired.
I got that it was a joke. But c'mon, it is interesting twist on that theme that people are getting hurt because e-bikes are too quiet.

Even as a joke though.. think about it. If people (pedestrians) are taking actions that place them or others in danger because they didn't hear it coming, why can that same logic not apply to a car driver (changing lanes or whatever) and a biker with his overly quiet exhaust who "wasn't heard coming"? #loudpipesmatter![]()
...working on my invention now
external speaker into a fake exhaust pipe to allow rider to stream different engine sounds
there's an app for that ... just need to have it linked to a portable speaker loud enough to be heard lol
hmm working on generating the smell of a gas engine will be a tough one
just do like the wicks thingies but instead of essential oil, put some oil/gas mix in there, youll even get the smell to stick on you!
There is something primal about a "nice" sounding engine.
fire up a muscle car and just listen to it, fire up a F1 car and listen to that....both at the other end of the sound spectrum however we tend to still appreciate their unique sounds
that will definitely be missed. how else are you gonna notice nice vehicles since we're always stuck in our smartphones lol
