Recommend a Motorcycle jacket

This is not a wanted thread. Just looking to buy a motorcycle jacket.

It's gotta have a full sleeve liner for those cooler nights and I'd like to have protection on the back shoulder and elbow.

I've looked at the icon overlord but it doesn't have a full sleeve liner. Not looking to spend over 250 ish.

I like A* but they never give you the armor (from what I saw) so I'd have to buy those separately.

Just go to the shops, try the jackets on, and get the one that suits your needs. Nobody else can tell you what you want.
PS. The Overlord leather is great, but it's a summer only jacket as the flow through will freeze you in even mild temperatures. But it is one of the best off the rack jackets to fit a muscular/athletic build.

So is the top level A* but it's in a different price bracket. Actually fits me better than the Icon.

Note that most jackets do not have a proper back protector, just a piece of foam. This is pretty baffling since good CE-certified back protectors aren't that expensive.

Nearly all of them (if not all) have CE shoulder and elbow protectors.

I never tried that one when I was shopping. I was going to try the Nankai but the prices frightened me.

I was more hoping of just recommendations on where I could start. There are so many types and brands that it gets overwhelming lol. The number of tabs I have open on GP bikes of just jackets is insane haha

The icon overlord has d3O not sure if it's even CE certified but from what I've read it is. And I've noticed. Those foam back pads provide next to nothing in terms of impact protection right?

The stock protector that came out of my A* Mert was basically packing foam.

I also have a Joe Rocket that has a meaningless "CE" stamp on its crappy back protector.

Not sure about the d3O stuff, but I know that all manufacturers are being a bit weaselly with their claims re: CE certification.
