Looking at this bike Sunday Evening. What to look for?

I have done 160 on a 250, do you need to go faster than 160 on the HWY.

It's hilarious how people get these ideas in their head, maybe they heard it at a Timmies pose fest? nuts
Yeah, first bike. I would rather have a 300 than a 250 incase I want to go on the highway. I have seen 300's with the fender eliminator and exhaust (which would be ideal) for 4K, but I am always late and they get purchased before I have a chance to see them :(

I've done long stretches of highway on my 250 at or over 120 the entire time, no problem other than constantly high RPM (10k+).

The only bike that sucks for the highway is the 125 by Honda. 250s are fine and are more than enough to get you into massive ****. A friend of mine ran off a highway ramp on one lol I have another friend on a 250 that chases 600s through twisties/ramps with ease...unless you're off some road with long sweepers (507).

looks like the guy who went in to look at it today bought it. it's no longer up on kijiji.

also, when i had my cbr250r, it went on the highway jist fine. i actually took a few long trips with it where i was on the highway for at least 45mins. i live in brooklin, so when i would ride with friends, i would have to take the 401 to meet with them every time. no problem here.

mind you, the 300 may probably feel better, just saying.

It was sold early Sunday, I checked while reading this thread.

Actually he still has it up -----> http://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-bikes/...00-black-abs-with-lots-of-upgrades/1071347351

I didn't end up going because when I emailed asking about maintenance (with referencing to the owners manual) he didn't have a clue. He wouldn't go lower than 4.5k either and wouldn't cert/safety it or have mechanic look at it.

These bikes can still be found for 4800 new.
For what these guys want for a used ninja 300, there are plenty of er6n or sv650s, or a new R3. Why someone would put that much into that bike is beyond me.

He took down the ad and reposted it. Someone got cold feet?

dont tell me you left brooklyn to go downtown toronto to ride...kinda the opposite of what i would do..

im totally done with living in the city, my next job is going to be at least 45 min from toronto.... traffic sucks, drivers are horrible, the roads are brutal. i can fight traffic for 30 min to hit mississauga road or hit the highway and fly up tie barrie in 45 min or so and get some nice roads.
was out riding in trenton area a week or so ago and it was awesome! cars actually pull over on 2 lane sideroads and wave you to pass...
