Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Question about the Cobra ad-- said oil and filter change after every ride. I'm assuming that means a weekend of spirited riding, but is that the norm for a dirt bike?

Actually, cobra motocross bikes are not Chinese junk. They are highly competitive mini-motos. Comparable to Ktm mini racers.

"You lost 15 friends on motorcycles? and you have only been riding since 2008? was this a group ride that fell off a cliff or are you being serious?"-ZX600

Yes. This is also not your weekend trail bike, it's a full blown 50cc mx race bike.

Thank you

NP. They're also referring to the air filter which should be changed on any dirtbike after every ride. Many people do but many people don't. The oil is just for the clutch which in that bike is probably 300ML. My 250 takes 750ML and gets changed every 3rd ride at the most depending on how hard I was on the clutch.

Never knew dirt bikes were that high in maintenance..

Well maintained ones are. It's the weekend warrior that "rides it hard and puts her away wet" that makes them sound like they're not. Then you buy it and all the bearings are seized solid, there's no compression, and the valves are just waiting to drop into where there not suppose to be. These are usually identified easily as they're the ones that are rolled off the truck still dirty from the last ride. Just like guys with dirty track bikes.

^ thats not that crappy of a deal if the km are true, and the bike is in good shape. The chick probably likes to get her money back for it, and also likes periods....... lots of them

She's not even using a full tank of fuel per year. That bike has spent a vast majority of its life parked. I'm sure there is lots of tread left on the tires but they are due for replacement, there may be other issues that arise from sitting for extended periods.
