Don't they have something similar in NYC or LA already? It's all dependent on space needed. We haven't quite hit that yet in TO.

We're not even close to being over populated and out of space like Japan is.

It's not about physical space, it's about real estate prices. Toronto is slapping up crap condos every day, and you need to generate a revenue per square foot in a parking to prevent it from becoming a condo tower.
We're getting closer to NYC, and tiered parking is everywhere in Manhattan (@$80 a day in spots).
 
Hey, it painted the bike too. The bike it grabbed was white but the bike he received was red and had a basket.

Way to NOT pay attention....sort of. Bike in was same out...girls "cruiser", but the one showing the inner workings was the white MT.

I know of at least one condo that features this sort of parking and it was finished about 3-4 years ago.

The first example of it was in Berlin, I think.
