Hello,

So the problem is with my 2010 Suzuki GSXR 600. The FI light stays on. This problem happened about ten days ago when I was going home on DVP northbound. The traffic was very slow, it was a hot day and the fan was pretty much on. I had to get gas and after I pulled out from gas station, the FI light came on and stayed on. I got scared, so I pulled over to a parking lot and rested for half an hour. Started her and the light was gone!

It came back within few days and it stays on. I also hear a loud pop from my exhaust when I am revving to 8K and letting off throttle with ease. My gas mileage has also dropped. I filled her at 13L with 167 kms today and I ride responsibly. OEM exhaust as well and bone stock bike.

I am confused. Help?!

That forum link is outdated. Cheapest solution here is to disable emissions system. Unplug wires going to the servo which controls the valve, then locate wire responsible for error. You can find wire by looking at YouTube for aftermarket exhaust install for your bike. Good to check if servo moves the valve, some times it gets seized under high temperature, disabling emission system will have valve in open position all the time.

Problem is fixed!

The code I got is C00 which means no error. I took off the clip and started the bike again. The FI light was gone :)

Saved myself $85 for a simple check and the hassle of dropping off the bike and picking it up later on.

Ok so I checked the code before without starting the bike (just left the ignition in ON position). No wonder the code was C00.

I started the bike, revved it a bit and the code was C46. Now what? Its an error with exhaust control valve actuator. Guess I really have to take her to a shop, right?
