Roll Call GB May 10 (SOAR or Track Days)

fawaz runs a great show, good value for what you are getting for sure.

I'm going to watch on Saturday. Thinking about taking the stage 1 and 2 courses this year and the rest next year.
Is this school recomended? http://www.racer5.ca

Same comments. I've heard nothing but resounding positives from those I know who have taken racer 5

Boooo! Booooo!!!!!

I know... it sucks, especially with the weather looking better.

Sorry Marko. We'll definitely cross paths at the track some time this season.

Not exactly. :p

Is his special time of the month

If you only knew... trust me, I have a good reason, and it really sucks.

Guys - Here is the deal re this weekend. We will keep the gate open until 10pm tomorrow night (Friday) it then reopens Sat morning. If you come after 10 you can still park just outside the office and we will have the walk gate open so you can use the washrooms if need be. Like last year Saturday is a joint Drag Test & Tune day on the strip and Motorcycle lapping on the Road course - modified layout. (Sunday layout is up to Ken). We charge an $8 per adult admission fee on the Sat re the drag side, so here is the road course deal - every road course entry gets 2 Free Comp passes - so you can get two other people in plus yourselves if you have 4 friends coming along - 2 will pay the $8/fee (if your bringing your wife and kids - they are in Free but those are your two comp passes). There is no charge re Sunday.
Latest accuweather forecast is for some possible rain Friday afternoon/evening, and partially Sunny and 18 on Sat (will feel warmer due to humidity they say) Sunday Sunny and 20 with a chance of a shower. See ya all this weekend.

ah man, sorry - Hope everything turns out ok buddy!

If anyone from here is coming and not riding, PM me and you can use my 2 free Comp passes, I take a 3x3 from timmies

I'll be there! Saturday for sure. I'll be pitting with SOAR #41 Jrod. Riding a red ducati 749. Come by and say hello from GTAmotcycle

I wish. Problem 1 is that I'll be recovering from a week-long Deals Gap trip. Problem 2 is that I still have no tow vehicle ... Have fun, everyone, wish I was there.

Me and Paulo (zx600) are here. Come by and say hello, easy to find we are the only ones here without a mobile home on wheels lol.

Hope to get to talk to a few of you guys about about what is all involved for doing a future race!

Well Saturday was awesome! It was great to see everybody again and to get the cobwebs out. I was pleased to get the Duc into the low 59s before the oil cooler popped and I had the ride of shame back to the pits on Ken's trailer :( Then I rode the 2003 GSXR600 endurance bike for three sessions.

I learned some stuff:

1. I have no idea how to ride a 600 properly. I thought I was doing okay at the end but the GoPro says I was 3 s off my times on the Ducati.

2. Red group at a SOAR day is not like red group on a regular tack day. Holy cow are those guys fast. A couple of them where on the back wheel going by me onto the straight. They passed me everywhere, but safely. It was really fun.

3. Slicks + warmers are great (VO1-Rs) but Q3s are also amazing tires.

4. There is not enough ibuprofen in the world to fix what I am dealing with this morning....

Good day, good weather, as far as wind goes yesterday was decent day for GBM. Very few stoppages, nice to finally get out there. I spent most of the day trying to learn GP shift, had a few mis-shifts but nothing major.
You were doing ok out there yellow ducky, didn't know you had an issue with the Duc.
