TWO TYPES OF RIDERS - the kind that's been down, and the kind that's goin' down!?????

haha. Don't be so over confident bud.

Even with single vehicle accidents, all it takes is one slip-up and you're going down. You don't necessarily have to be riding like a dumb-*** to spill.

This was not going to happen to MM. Just got this sent to me. His bike is more Spyder-like; but definately more beginner friendly. No wonder he had outgrown it already!

every one makes mistakes....even Rossi has gone down..

..There used to be another Member here called "Pegassus"....

...

MM - u start pointless and ignorant all caps threads to make yourself feel good about being inadequate and an attention whore.

so whats the difference between u and the people who u claim are making statements about crashing to make themselves feel good when u are doing the exact same thing?

Brian, I mean no disrespect, but I know that you're a moderator and would like to know exactly why this "Mighty Mike" guy has been able to last so long before getting banned. This isn't funny at all, I hate coming on here and seeing his crap. Can you make it so he can ONLY post in trash talk or romper room?

He's entertaining to an extent but he should never have lasted this long. Please in the future, get rid of people like this permanently before you start losing quality members.

Either that or someone might take it into their own hands, because we know how secure this forum is...

You really let it bother you that much? If it's that bad for you don't read it man. There are 1000's of other posts to read.

He's banned. Keep in mind that being overly ban-happy won't go over well, either. We tried talking sense into him, obviously it didn't work.

It's one thing when there are blatant, black-and-white violations of forum rules. But "trolling" is hard to define.

There is also no rule requiring your IQ to exceed your shoe size, nor is there a rule against being an attention-whore. At what black-and-white point does it become "trolling"?

I would have a different course of action against certain types of trolls, but it requires administrative intervention. I've suggested it, but it hasn't been taken up. I don't own or run this place ...

Also, it's very easy for anyone who isn't a moderator, to put someone on their ignore list. Moderators aren't allowed to have an ignore list!

That's what I was getting at, he annoys so many people, if it's that bothersome don't click it.

Anyways on to more interesting topics since its too cold for this old guy to ride. Should be a couple good how do I wash my bike and do you wave threads to keep us entertained. Lol

I personally think this forum is really well moderated. I would rather have it this way where a troll gets a lot of rope to hang himself than like some other forums where I have seen people get banned for just posting off topic and other minor offences. Frankly, I would rather see the forum suffer fools for a reasonable amount of time rather than the ban hammer coming out with impunity.

I still think MM should have become a site supporter and spent his time in Trash Talk...

Funny this topic comes up today, a year ago tonite I was airlifted to a trauma center in New Jersey after my first crash. I'd been riding off and on for 25 years at that point. The thing is, the only reason I didn't crash sooner is cause I'm lucky as hell. Should have crashed from my own mistake or someone else's a hundred times easily. No one is capable of maintaining the intense level of concentration that riding requires without ever having a slip. Sooner or later one of these slips bite you.

Only a fool will argue this fact.

Kinda ridiculous people get worked up over an internet troll.

I think MM is taking the expression a little to literal. I've always taken it to mean that no matter what your experience level you need to pay attention to the road and your surroundings. Just because you've ridden the previous X years without an accident doesn't mean something isn't going to come your way to change all that.

Nothing is as dangerous as a rider who thinks their skill level is better than it is.

As a new rider (on the street) I have no issues saying my skill level is lacking (I ride extremely careful because I know I'm not a pro). Because of this though, I dont think I'll crash in the next couple years (maybe drop) but I have no illusions that I will one day. My hope is that I walk away as I have with all my other crashes, in all my other sports.
