[SUB]I am considering geting heated gloves for the spring I have looked into getting gerbing gloves but there pretty expensive although I have heard there amazing quality. Are they worth it? Or are there better brands?[/SUB]

I have gerbin and they have their pluses but they are a pain to plug both sides everytime to get in and out of the bike, plus if you don't buy the controller which is close to 100 bucks, you have to buy the on and off switch and it will basically be really hot or off.

Also with a liner, you still have to get a pair or riding gloves that need to be bigger than your normal size so they fit on top of your liners.

With the Velocity gloves you don't have to plug yourself in and out and they are good quality riding gloves, I have the race version and after 3 crashes they are still in really good shape, they seems costly but it is one purchase and you get the heat and the protection all in one

My gloves are Olympia, had them for about 4 or 5 years, purchased off e-bay. Got gloves, full jacket, socks and pants for about $250. Got a Warm 'n Safe remote dual controller to run them with. About $400 all in. Best investment I've made in accessories so far in terms of comfort. You have to have a controller with heated gloves. An on and off switch will not cut it.

After having a set of Widders for a few winters, I say Velocity's wireless are the way to go.
The heat panel type cannot burn you....with wired ones, two wires happen to get together and voila- you get burnt....and the cords are a huge pain in the ***.

+1 for Velocity my friend and I picked up a pair at the motorcycle show and there amazing. Went for a ride wearing them a few weeks ago when it was right at 0c out and my hands where toasty even when going very fast:p.

Do you find the heating elements as good as the Gerbings? I heard they have a lifetime warrantee.
