Hello peoples, I need help deciding on one of these Nakano replica helmets! Which one do you like better?

Nakano Helmet 1 (Red Eyes) is an Arai RX7

Nakano Helmet 2 (Blue eyes) is an Arai Quantum 1

I love these helmets. I sold my nakano rx-7 and I regret it to this day.

Id pick the corsair v(the first one, rx-7rr is the euro model FYI) if you're doing track days. If for only street save your money.

That one is sweet too! my buddy had that exact one too but he crashed with it. Theres Nakano's on ebay.ca.... only the quantum and rx7 though, not the crossair

That first photo you provided is an corsair V. They're renamed in NA for some reason. Rx-7 is the predecessor to the current corsair v/rx-7rr.

to be honest, im leaning towards the Quantum version of it. The one with the blue eyes and the pattern over the graphics!

Check the manufacture date in those. I can't speak on the quantum but that corsair v is at least 2 years old.

Thanks, I actually need some further advice. The seller said the production date is 2013. I also asked him if this is a real Arai helmet. The seller said it is a replica, Arai Nakano helmet.

His english is not fluet, and im having trouble clarifying with him whether the actual helmet is a real arai quantum product with a replica pain job, or if the entire physical helmet is an actual replica, meaning not a real arai product.

Would anyone know about this? if arai produced these in 2013?

Usually when they say replica helmet it's a replica from a professional racer.


Think of a basketball jersey, they're replicas even tho Adidas makes them.

I'd say its safe to say its a real arai.

Quantum has been discontinued for north america for a few years now. Quantum-J is a japanese market helmet http://www.arai.co.jp/jpn/fullface/q_j_c.htm which may have different the safety certifications than required here.
