That bike was at the show, but Yamaha says they are not actually going to sell it.

It's a pretty vanilla design standard bike. BMW expects owner to fork out $18-20K, then buy another $5K in accessories to make the bike distinctive.
This works for Harley as well. I just don't see the value.

I'm not sure I would call that bike a "standard". Anyway...
It costs $16,200.00 plus freight = approx $17,000. On the road price is $19,200

Try walking out of a BMW dealer with that price. The accessories are ridiculously over-priced, they are emulating their car sales strategy.
