Front stand screws/pins for GSXR

Hey, I'm hoping some of you may have the answer to this:

So I picked up a pair of sportbike stands for cheap from somebody. I didn't want to make two trips down, one with the bike to check fit and second with a car so I just went down with the car. When I got there the front stands didnt' have pins, but he had screws in them (The holes are threaded) to go into the front forks. He said his wife gave away the spare screws when she sold the other stands. Said Rona would carry some that would fit.

Anyways I bring the stands home thinking they will fit, as they look identical to my girlfriend's, and they fit her R6 and my buddy's ZX6r. The rear stands work fine. The front however seem a bit too tall. I tried even my girlfriend's front stands and they don't work. The distance between the pins and the holes in the forks is too far, or the bike is a bit too low (though it is stock).

Anyways I think I could get away with rolling the front tire onto a narrow block of wood to gain that extra height and then put the stand in and remove the wood. However my friend mentioned that he bought these special curved pins for his stands from Honda for his CBR.

Does anyone know where I could find a place that sells these pins? The stands are "ACTIVE PRODUCTS" and is by no means has any robust website or customer service. Or does anyone else know of a solution? I'm good for changing oil and chain lubing but I just want to get this out of the way and not have it lingering.

I'm a little confused. The screws for the yellow canadian Tire (active product) stands are missing the screws that screw into the front stands so you cant use the front stands? Why can't you find the screws at Rona?
I'm not sure what pins you are talking about. But I know those stands if its the same ones I'm thinking will fit the bike in you display pic. Its a pain in the arse because its not the best quality, but it does work. Get the screws from any hardware shop and line them up with the holes under your front forks and push down to get the bike up.

The screws don't reach the holes in the forks when I roll the front stand under the bike and they are already sticking out a good inch. They are at a huge angle to the hole (probably aroud 70 deg) so coupled with the length the bolt will just snap off and I don't want a broken bolt inside of the threads =\ The front stand doesn't get close enough in to the fork holes (its a bit too tall?)

I'll take a photo tonight.

IT won't snap, thats what it looked like with my stands. The holes are pretty deep in the forks.

hey reviving an old thread here. I'm having exactly the same issue at the OP here. Exact same bike stands, except I'm trying to get my 2008CBR600RR front on the stand and it just wont work. Previous owner had 2 random screws in, it won't reach the holes in the bottom of the forks and is at such an angle that it seems like it could damage the fork, and has already scratched the bottom of the fork many times.

Am I missing a part? @bboySushi did you figure it out?

Anybody else?

Get a proper triple fork stand ;)

Mine got stuck once and took a while to take off so I never used it again lol Pitbull hybrid ones (yes I got the right pin)

Longer bolts isn't the answer. A longer bolt will just contact the axle up inside the fork lower, and prevent you from being able to remove the axle and do a front wheel removal. The screw holes in the Cdn Tire stands is in the centre of the upturned tube. This is where the problem lies with some bikes. I had a set and they worked good on some of my bikes and not others. If the pin were at the front edge of the upturned tube, they would work on every bike. This is how Hindle stands are, and they work much better. I suggest welding a steel pin to the outside front edge of the upturned tube, sticking up about 1/2" above the top of the stand. Otherwise it's aprecarious situation getting the forks of some bikes onto the stand. Whenever I had to, I always needed help to be sure the bike didn't fall.

I now only use steering stem stands.

I sold those stands to someone else and they fit his bike, picked up screws from Rona and they are okay for his zx.

I use my gf's front stand, it LOOKS extremely similar but I guess is slightly different, plus she has two bolts welded into the tubes. I will be keeping an eye out for an inexpensive stem stand though

Thanks this makes 100% sense.. I'm just gonna ditch this stand then and look for a different stand.
