TMP Saturday Sept 28!!! WHO'S IN?!

I guess I'm a very bad salesman ;)

Did you see Ramon lately? Last time I saw him he crashed at Grand Bend, that guy has to stop running the same tires for years per set!

No I haven't seen him all season,he has been quite on the site. He's young and maybe his budget can be an issue.

Anybody's budget would be an issue if they buy an airplane, which he actually did for real :)

It's not about lap times. As long as you are predictable and hold your lines you can ride in red. You will probably find you will instantly drop a couple of seconds off your time just by following the faster riders. I know I did.
What you riding?

Lol. This thread is so funny.

Yes, I'm the one running Race chrono on my HTC wildfire S. Android 2.3.

The software works like a charm. I will post the pics later.. .

Yep, TMP allows laced shoes/boots, non-leather gear, big wheelies, chains and sticks, smoke screens and oil sprayers... yep, it's like playing Road Rash! The only flags they have any more is red to incite the RAGE and checkered, for the winner :)

Funny you should say that, have you seen the new TMP flyer? After watching a brand new BMW s1000rr smash into a brand new Aprilia RSV4 at TMP this year, I had an idea for a new marketing campaign for them. It seems they took the idea and ran with it:

Oh you guys are bad.

As funny as this is (and it IS funny)...it is also a little bit disrespectful to the people who are actually trying to improve things at TMP track days. I wouldn't be so dismissive of their efforts. Buckland is all about trying to enforce rules that will minimize two-bike incidents. When I mentioned to him on Saturday that intermediate group had been a bit crashy that day, he was quick to point out that "yes, but they were all single-bike incidents".

And he was right I think. Every event that required a pick up was a single rider incident. Unfortunately, there were still lots of other "comings together" that led to ride-offs but no falls causing damage...so there is still plenty of work to do in reigning in the yahoos. But, as for the organizers, their intentions are good and I support them. Heck, no one makes piles of money running motorcycle track days, and in the process of not making money they also open themselves up to some pretty undesirable legal exposure. They mostly do it for love of the sport and I am grateful to them.
