Motorcycle electrics have load shed circuits to turn off the headlight and other unnecessary electrics when the bike is started. If you install an HID, this load shed circuitry causes the bulb to restrike. HIDs suffer under such duress; they may not restart properly. You'd have to install a delay start relay in the HID circuit to prevent this condition. Otherwise, HIDs for cars and motorcycles are electrically the same. Some motorcycles have dual filament H4s, others dedicated low and high beams. Depending on your objective, you might need special HID fitments for the dedicated function, means possibly special projector lenses.
