But it's a nice bike and a good price

Yeah neither did I, but as soon as I saw the background..his car and house I recognized it. It's funny call him ask and ask why he is selling and how many owners.. he will tell you exactly what he told me :)

Steering damper.. big deal Only plus is a mono lock brembo.. is it worth the extra 2k? I doubt it. Also a non evo is better on lower rev (i.e., street)

14 tooth front sprocket is one of the best things you can do on an 848.

A friend might be selling his 08 848. PM if you want details.
 
There is bikes that you can find for a relatively low price, you just have to be patient and look...good luck in finding your Ducati!

Oh ya and don't over do the mods like me lol! :wink:
 
I msged that guy asking 20k and offered him 11. He was not pleased.

Since you live in a condo aren't you afraid to get anything that nice cause it'll just get stolen again? Why not just get something for like 5k?
 
Yeah I would be very weary of buying a Ducati & parking it in a condo with all of these thefts going on!
 
Who cares guys, that's what you pay insurance for. You gonna ride a clapped out piece of junk just because you're worried some scumbag is gonna steal it?

I think its extremely hard not to do up a Ducati. There are way too many options for it out there. I have to keep telling myself to stop putting new bits on the bike.

Huge fail so far.

If Tuned correctly you should not need the 14T, but its a very cheap mod and it does make the bike feel better. Just keep in mind that the goal of the 14t is to keep your Ducati revving higher a lower speeds so you don't feel the tuning issues you may have.

Every duc i have owned has been the same at slow speeds.First is too low and second is too high with the stock gearing.-1 front or +3 rear will allow you to use 2nd in parking lots and switchbacks.You will add approx 400-500 rpm at highway speeds and your range will drop.I tried the change on my Hypermotard,but went back to stock because of the tiny 12l gas tank.
Good luck with your search.Ducatis and Ducatisti are great to have in your life.
