Hi again! loll

So, im going for my m1 tomorrow (fingers crossed) and would really want to get a bike before may ends.
it seems like everybody recomends a 250 to start on but i feel like it's too small and i really dont like the looks.

what other options i have?
i really like sport bikes, would like to own one.

Im 21 y.o. and had my g1 since the day i turned 16 and hopefuly m1 tomorrow. :)

So, what sport bike can i buy that won't kill me? haha

There is a nice forum right above 'general discussion' called 'NEW RIDERS - START HERE'. http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/forumdisplay.php?34-New-Riders-Start-here
Surprisingly first stickie is called 'New Rider. First Bike. Which One'.

If you still haven't read it, or read it and still believe that you don't want 250 (CBR250 or Ninja 250R), 400 (Ninja 400R), or 500cc (i.e. Ninja 500R or Suzuki GS500F) bike, here is another free advice: have you checked your insurance rate for something 600cc+? If you are good with insurance, then Hayabusa or R1, or even S1000RR are awesome bikes if you want to go bigger.

what does grammar have to do with riding?
or are you one of the sites jackasses?
if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say nothing.

Is the bike going to come to your room in the middle of the night and kill you? how is the bike going to kill you?

Or do you mean to say that you are the one that would kill yourself on any bike if you don't operate it properly?

Your grammar indicates you would prefer we recommend a gixxxaaaaa!

He was making a joke that obviously went over your head

+1

Reliable, looks like a 600ss, half the insurance of one, and fast enough for most sane people.

How about something like the Ninja 650 or SV650?

what i ment to say is that something with not too much power to kill me if i make a mistake.
ive read that some bikes are more forgiving then others so something like a 600 or 1000 cc is not going to be very friendly.

looks wicked man, how fast can something like that go?
also what year is that?

I think thats a 2009, it has 70hp and 47ft/lbs of torque. It still goes and will do over 200km/h, just not as insane as a modern ss with 120hp.

I think its a happy medium for new riders that dont want a 250 and want the looks of a supersport.

haha serious?

depends...do you just want it for image or do you want a solid bike that won't break the bank in fixing it or insuring it and is one of the better bikes for learning on? I had an EX500, wasn't wild about the looks but it was an excellent bike to learn on.

edit: if its just for image get any bike you like and you can just push it to Timmies.

your 21 so first of all go check insurance on a few different models of bikes before you start saying I don't want a 250 because at the end of the day it might be all you can afford to insure, how's your driving record because that will also affect your bike rates like crazy so call around and find out prices first before making decisions about witch bike to get.
