M2 and G1?

Going for my M1 soon. Don't have my G1 yet and I know the M2 is the equivalent of the G1. Does that mean I get a G1 with my M2? Or can I just use my M2 to drive a car with a licensed driver?

Can I go from M2 to G2 (if I wait the 18 months for G2 road test)?

You will get a G1 when you get your M2 as the M1 portion of the test consists of the G1 test.

M Class and G Class are seperated, you can only go from G1 to G2 to G, M1 to M2 to M. You can't go from M2 to G2. You will need to do a driving test (G1 exit) along with a riding test (M1 Exit) to get G2 and M2.
