good to know! yeah i was ******, and upset and still pretty bummed about the spotless ninja is scratched, but it happens. Any advice on ordering from ebay? like anything to look out for? i was thinking of getting cheap fairings from ebay to cut up and turn mine into a street fighter over the winter

it all depends on how much money you wanna spend obviously... But look for top rated sellers... And read everything in the item's description so there is no surprise... What are you looking for exactly?
So i walked i parked at my work parking lot and 9 hours later walked out to a dropped bike!
any advice on where i can get parts? its an 08 ninja 250.
the right indicator punched through the faring and was fallen inside +(
what do do??
I feel for you man. I once came out to my bike after a long day; pretty much the only vehicle left in the lot. I get on and go to shift...something feels funny...I look down and my shift lever is bent and then I realize she's been dumped on her side and then someone stood her up again...I think someone just pulled into my spot assuming it was empty because there was no "cage"...(it was a doctor's parking lot, so I guess they assumed no car, meant empty..."what doctor rides a motorcycle to work"...almost ten years later and it still gets me ******...anyway I posted a message throughout the hospital...and of course, nobody saw nothing/knew anything...bike? what bike? you ride a bike? Losers. Anyhow, it turned out to be minor damage...just the usual lever stuff...I'm amazed the pipes had not a scratch on them...only points of contact...bar end, shift lever, clutch lever...and they assured me the frame was unbent. Must have just tapped it...or it fell against the car next to it.... Anyhow, it's a very visceral feeling of violation, isn't it.
As someone else said, it could have been worse. And if this is one's biggest current problem, we should go to bed with gratitude.
It sucks major! I will definitely attempt a scratch less fix later when I have some time, the fix now can't be seen from far away but looks like poo from near .
And the part about people pulling in the spot same as me freaks me out even more, can't understand how ignorant people can be.
Don't park deep in a spot when cars are on either side, park towards the opening. This will increase the odds that your bike will be seen in time. Can't stop inattentiveness, all you can do is try to park defensively. I try to park at the end of a row, or somewhere that isn't in a tunnel like in the pic below.
