Yeah the new Switchback is pretty nice.
HD has upped their technology, and the new CVO line is badass. I would pick the CVO RK any day if I had the money.
The problem is parts for HD is overpriced IMO. LOL
Couple buddies I know are in pain leaving their ride at the HD stealership for fixing.
Agree the servicing at HD Dealers is a pricey experience. If you can do the oil changes on your own (Primary, crank and tranny), and find a good independant for tires and other maintanence items, it's not so bad.
Some used bikes have owners that paid for the extended warrenty and service programs that can help with pain.
And if you don't mind calling ahead and taking a ride across the border, you can save a few dollars that way too.
CVO Road King would be awesome. Heck, even a nice RK Classic would suit me fine.
The wallet crunch is always the accessories. HD = Hunderds of Dollars..........E-bay and an American mail service at the border works well for me and I always disclose what I'm bringing across and never have an issue. I'm also fully prepared to pay any duty if needed. So far, so good.
Being that my HDs are used and well past warrenty, I just do what work I can on them and leave the rest to some fellow riders that can help out.
