Tues aug 21 7 pm Forks clogged up - truck at hairpin

Idiot can't read apparently.
Cops have been called.
Hope he gets a size large towing bill and ticket.

Any pictures? It never stops being funny to me.

Jesus Murphy. Do these truck drivers get LOST or something? What possesses them to even think of taking that road??

Well they don't really speak english to begin with, what makes you believe they'll understand the signs?

Got there too late to see the fun - somebody dropped in and asked to call the cops.

By the time I was ready to leave the truck was off the road pulled in along the rail line. so really not much picture worthy at that point - *** end of a parked truck - someone should go up tonight and "decorate it" with appropriate comments :D

Big gouges in the pavement - not only cold he not make the turn but hung up on the roadway as well. I guess a tow truck will lift the *** end and pull it out.

Any bets on how long the hairpin will last? I'm surprised the local council hasn't planned to straighten things out, considering the regular problems.

I can't see them getting rid of it, other than just closing off that part of the road completely. Straightening things out would require a little engineering and a lot of excavating, something that nobody seems to have money for these days. I don't think either solution would sit well with the locals.

The hairpin will be there forever. It restricts large vehicle traffic, which makes the (many wealthy and influential) residents happy. It's also little inconvenience for them, as there are several alternate ways around if the hairpin gets blocked. Hell, if they could legally put sand and gravel all over it for the bikes, many would likely do that too.

This must have happened after i had gone through, earlier in the afternoon. Wasn't a line workers truck by any chance, was it MacDoc?
