Upgraded.... Big time. (pic heavy)

Sweet bike, dude!! But I must say I am very confused...how can I be approximately the 15th person to reply, and nobody
has yet tried to tear you a new one for going to such a bigger bike so soon...take this-or-that course first...you need more
experience...what are you thinking?...etc, etc, etc.

Because it's a cruiser. Other than overall weight, they're pretty docile and easy to control.

Most of us giving advice on the boards know the difference between this and a GSXR1000 or R1.

I already explained this...the power to weight ratio is very different.
Cruisers have a whole lot more dead weight and less horses to lug it around...

LOL
I was just kidding.

I'm 49 years old, and understand exactly where you are coming from.
And also understand the transition from 250 to big cruiser. It's not as dramatic as going to an SS

The transition has been surprisingly easy. I'm still glad that I clocked a few months on the 250... It's a great way to start riding. But now, it's like I got a giant iron horse under me. This thing is a damn beast! Just over the moon kinda fun.

The new issue of Cycle Canada has a test that rates it highly. The test bike had a Yamaha shield on it that they recommended adding for the price...around 150 I think.
Have loved the looks of the Stryker since I first saw it a couple years ago and I'd put it highest on my list when my old knees can no longer take long rides on my SV1000.

nice bike!
for a windscreen that doesnt ruin the look of the bike check out the flyscreen. it doesnt do much but it will do a little and looks about as good as it can get.
