looking for gear bags??

We have kids in the house and it is really dangerous to just leave your helmets, jackets or goggles on the table because they will surely take and play with it. They are worthy investments so I really want to take good care of them so they will last years.

I am thinking of luggage gear bags since they can handle complete gear set in just one bag. I badly want one but the problem is what brand should I get? We all want full protection to our gears so I want a heavy-duty gear bag brand.

Can anyone help me finding the right one? Suggestions, opinions and experiences are welcome.

My kids have finally reached the age that I can trust them (mostly) with this kind of stuff now but, I still keep my gear in a locker in the mud room. No need to worry about something being dropped on the bag this way as well....

I guess I developed this habit as I was always a little freaked about head lice when they had play dates, I kept imagining one of those little walking petri dishe friends trying on my helmet, dropping the visor and sneezing ... ewww! lol!

Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it

I looked in for Ogio and I found their website. They really have great gear bags so I went to look for some information about them and some customer reviews and found out that they are really amazing.

I also found this website to be helpful

****

So what do you think? Should I go with Ogio? :toothy8:

You don't have a shelf you can just put your stuff on out of reach? Seems like a bit over kill if its just to keep away from the kids.

Hey gc100 you are funny can you post some photos of your hockey bags?

I think I should go with Ogio. I think it won't be a problem if its addicting as long as it protects my gears.

Thanks for the description jc100! It helps a lot. Ogio it is. I think its better my gears have a luggage where I can put all of them so they fully organized and protected.

Thanks for all the replies.

Hmmm.....gears have a luggage?

Everything is clear now.

Diddly squat is clear.....how about.....you now have luggage where you can put your gear

......but a $40 hockey bag would have done the same thing?

Okay I think you are right but I guess I want bag for my motorcycle gears not for my hockey equipments.

What jc100 is saying is your paying more because it the description of the product says its for "motorcycles" If you just want to keep it away from your kids, any bag will do just fine, including a cheap hockey bag.
