Coin-operated wash?

Looking for a downtown-ish location. Google is showing east and west end locations. Anyone been to a decent one downtown?
I really just need a hose to blast off some unexpected construction site slurry that got on my bike, tires, etc.

Bathurst/Dupont on Bathurst north of Dupont, right after the light on the east side.

thanks! going to check out the bathurst/dupont location.

If you have time after, I suggest taking a short jaunt up Bathurst to St. Clair to grab a burger at the Stockyards.

Best burger in Toronto that I've tried so far.

Next time I'll try the burger joint. A+ for the coin wash... only $2 :)

Be careful how/where you point that coin wash gun. The pressure is very high and the water can get into places where it will do real damage (chain, fork tubes, swingarm, airbox, electrical contacts, you-name-it).

I am looking for one near Fairview.. thanks :)

I would really reccommend to hand wash and polish the bike. I have seen real issues with "blasting" off dirt. As was mentioned, fork seals, engine seals and issues with chains... all bad news.

nothing wrong with a pressure wash.

just dont spray it hard in to the bike.

either stand far back, or just let it drizzle on the bike.

no issue and way faster for a quick clean than hand wash...

some places even have the air wand, which is a godsend. never have to touch the bike with anything

Best pulled pork for sure. Haven't tried the burger, since good PP is hard to find.

Thanks for the heads up. I tried to stand far away and simulate a rainstorm. However, the stuff that got on my bike was like concrete mixture, so for some spots I did have to go a bit closer and blast them off. The bike runs afterwards and also this morning.... I re-lubed the chain last night after riding home and didn't notice any difference. My schedule maintenance is coming up soon too so hopefully all's well with it.

Victoria Park, just south of Ellesmere.

You sir are my Hero thank you!!, the pig I have needs a nice wash...

Yes don't just power wash the crap of a bike, just rinse it off and then dry it up...

You are welcome. You should be fine, depending on how hard you sprayed and where. Don't rely on the fact that the bike starts and runs fine as most problems related to water develop later, sometimes much later. Make the bike is thoroughly checked and lubed ASAP. WD40 cannot hurt anything except some plastics.

There's also a coin wash at Jane / Finch. On Jane, south of Finch on the west side. Just in case anyone in the area is looking.
