Who are the triumph scrambler competitors?

I'm intrigued about this bike. Retro styled that likes everything; does nothing great? Do I have that right? I don't really know any other models designed like it unless you include the modern 'adventure' tourers.
 
It's offroad capabilities are minimal at best. More of an urban fashion accessory with that chrome high pipe.
 
10,000 kms later I still love mine. Then I am the wrong side of 50 and started out driving a 68 BSA 250. Kinda like the old saying....if you hafta ask....... 003.jpg

Although quite heavy for off road work it does seem very capable.
 
That rider is a pro, he can ride like that on any bike. Like I said, the Triumph Scrambler is only slightly more offroad capable than lets say a Bonneville in the hands of the average owner. It's no BMW GS.
