How to Register a BC Motorcycle in ON?

I've looked at the MTO website and can't find anything pertaining to motorcycles. Is it straight forward - take my BC registration docs. together with valid ON insurance and would be able to have the bike registered here or do I need to have the bike safety tested etc. first. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I bought a CBR600 and it was registered in BC and it was pretty straight forward...
I took bill of sale,BC registration papers, insurance, and safety...

My fear was that safety cert. - not that my bike has problems, just how the hell do I get it to a safety place without it being licensed. So just need to find that mechanic guy that can come home and "I won't tell anyone about it."

You dont need it licensed to get it safetied unless you are worried about it getting to the mechanics shop.
You need the ownership papers. You take the safety with the ownership papers to MTO.

You have a few options.

1) Just ride it to the shop and try not to get pulled over.
2) Trailer/tow it to the shop to get it inspected.
3) Pay for someone to come to you and do the inspection.

#3 is illegal? How so (genuinely asking)? #1 certainly is and you didn't seem to have a problem with that.

Thanks guys - yup getting it to the bike shop was my problem. BC plates that are currently on the bike are expired - thus illegal to ride & I really don't want to get into any trouble. Trailer/truck is not an option as I don't have either. Thanks for the ideas though.

Didnt know his plates were expired. If they are then yes it is illegal. And I didnt say I had a problem with it. Just if its true what some say about certain safety people, then they can risk getting into a lot of trouble and since they are trying to do a favour I dont want to see us screw them over.

What about renting a uhaul trailer or a truck? Its cheap for a weekend rental.
