Went for a ride to the Toronto Zoo today with parttimer. Was great around noon, but pretty windy and chilly now at 5pm...

Called insurance, reinstated my liability, and took her for the first ride of the season today
Stopped by a frozen pond to take some scenic pictures, and when I got back on the bike wouldn't start. So I gave the battery 10 mins and tried again, luckily she started up
My fault for not keeping it on a tender all winter. Needless to say the battery is on a tender right now
Its a new battery. I wonder if I did damage to it by not having it on a tender last few months

Most likely you've at least reduced its overall capacity; I've let my battery die before on my old Ninja 250R, only sat for I think 3-4 weeks but because of the alarm in it, it got drained.. put it on a tender/charger though and haven't had issues since.
If I did the same with the battery in my V-Strom though, I'd probably have to buy a new one. This thing is crap.
Would freakin' love to, would have already been out & probably headed to L&L except I've been waiting on a friend's phone call that never came through... hate when people make plans and then disappear.
