I found a great 05 CBR 600rr Im considering buying and when I got into discussing with my cousin who drives an 03 CBR 600rr. We got into a conversation about How interchangable are these 2 frames. And I told him manufactureres change things up every 2 yrs. And I thought it was very doubtful for that reason. He pointed out that the 03 and 04 were different to the 05's and 06's by the Front forks being inverted and maybe some engine and suspension changes.. that was all? His fairings and parts could swap on mine and mine to his (Which might actually be cool) But I still rejected the idea.. as model yr changes wouldnt work?

Is this true? And are those 2 series of bikes actually interchangeable?
(Am I in the wrong here)

I am 99% sure the fairings aren't interchageable.

In 2005, the CBR600RR received a major revision with new bodywork, fully adjustable inverted front forks, race-inspired disc brakes with radial-mounted four-piston calipers, and an entirely new aluminum frame, swingarm and rear shock. The midrange power was also increased. These changes along with additional refinements to the engine and exhaust system all came together to bring CBR600RR's wet weight down by 22 lb (10.0 kg), and dry weight by 9 lb (4.1 kg)[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] Except for new color schemes, the 2006 model was unchanged from the 2005 model.

Well thanx for that bit. I kind figured nothing was interchangable. Which has now become a bet. And since doing this I also have checked to see what some sweet mods on 03s are and it turns out that guys swap 954 forks? and front tires.
Either way ill be street wise by next summer again. On a Victory or a CBR.
And I win the bet.

I remember the City lights of the GTA in Late night. Satalite drive wheelies for practice, Coffee tee or me at the DVP and Lawrence Clover leaf. And the Queensway and the Skyline From Etobicoke and in at High Revs and High egos from In the Valley Below the DVP all the way up to The Yorkville stop and then Richmond for Clubn Close..
Around 2001 to 2004 Was some Fond Fond Memories.
Theres alot of good people there in these circles.
