hi guys,

i was interested in purchasing a set of front & rear stands for lifting up my 2010 ninja 250r up off the ground over the winter period. Do you guys have any specific stands which you may recommend ? Do you guys know of any stores / sites putting up good sales for these at the moment ? Any input would be much appreciated :) Thanks in advance !

I don't know about good sales, but I got both my stands from Riders Choice. For the front I grabbed the BVP version of this, works awesome. My rear stand is just a standard one for use with swingarm spools. If your bike doesn't have these I would recommend looking into them, they make lifting the bike such a breeze. The total price was somewhere in the $140 range for both, taxes in, no sale.

check out kapscomoto.ca, they are local and they have good prices on a set of stands. I got mine from them.

I'd grab these. $80, brand new. I actually just picked up a '09 250r and I plan on getting these soon for the winter/maintenance work.

Those two are the same ones i posted. But the one on eBay has the best price all in (including shippping)

for the front, get a head lift stand, the ones where the pin goes into the hole in the bottom of the triple clamp. the fork lift stands i find don't work very will on the 250, and I've got a couple chips on my front fender from it almost falling off a front stand like that.

Okay so this may be a bit embarassing, but how exactly or where do the stands go on the bike.

Mine came in today .. and it seems as the front ones are just too wide ? and my rear ones sorta fit but there is a spring that must be compressed to make it fit? I dont even know the proper terms for the pieces either ...

And for the rear, you need spools.

redline-front-rear-motorcycle-stand.jpg

can you tell me which one the front one and which one the rear one is ..

I would guess the right one goes on the rear where the "spools" go? or is this a set that gets set under the swing arm which the left one goes under the swing arm?

Im a complete noob and the box didnt come with instructions !!

^ nvm got it ! didnt see the youtube video posted earlier in the link.

Looks like I will need to get myself some spools!

Left is front, right is rear. Make sure the front on is aligned properly or the bike will slant and fall off the stand.
