DRIVEN Rear sets... Whose got 'em?

Damn you Johnny... lol... I'm sure it's something you can take care of... right? lol

Yes it wouldnt be a huge deal even if they didnt bolt right up, Im sure we could mod the Akra bracket slightly to match up with the new Driven jack up plates....Just letting you know it came to mind because I know your bikes setup as it stands

If I take a picture of the exhaust bracket on my bike can you tell by just looking at it? or is it something you have to see right in front of you?

Ive already looked at pictures, and Im 99% it wont bolt right on....If I had to guess, at the most youd have to drill some new holes and possibly bend the bracket a little...Or if its really off make a whole new bracket out of plate aluimnum..Either way not a big deal

I can't see why it won't fit. The rear sets are made to replace the OEM's with the same bolt pattern, so how would that affect the bracket?
Sorry if it's a stupid question.

The akrapovic exhaust strap bracket is bent and drilled to mount to the OEM jack up plates, those are the plates that mount to the frame and then your rearset bolts to that....When I installed your Exhaust that Akra bracket went between the jack up plate and rear set...

The Driven rearsets come with new jack up plates of their own, that are different shape and have different hole locations compared to OEM...I am 99% sure just looking at them, that they wont just work together with out some work....

Look at figure 11

now look at driven rearsets jack up plates for your GSXR

The chances of those holes being in the exact same location as the OEM jack up plates is very slim, but you wont know untill you have all the parts in front of you...Actually now that I look at them again, I can tell you its not going to fit 100%.....Look at the OEM jack up plate, the corner is cut out and doesnt have a hole in the corner...The Akra bracket bends right where that corner is cut...The Driven jack up plate has a hole in the corner, and isnt cut, so the bend in the Akra bracket is going to interfere with eachother...

Again not a huge deal, but some maguiver work will be necessary

I see what you're saying, but the rear sets you posted are for the 2011 model, which look slightly different.
Here's a picture for the k6-k7 model...

Same thing bottom left corner of the jack up plate has a hole in it, OEM does not and is cut on an angle.....The Akra bracket starts to bend right where that hole would be. Aswel as like I said "the chances of the holes being in the same location and spacing are very slim...Meaning it wont fit...

If you want too, I'll bet you $50 something will need to be modded

Alright Johnny, thanks for the help. Looks like the same theory applies for the pic I posted. We'll just have to wait and see. My ASV shorties should be here any day now, I'll place the order for the rear sets and come see you when I have both in hand.

Thanks again man, I appreciate your input. As Always!

Yeah man order them up, dont let a little bracket issue sway your decision....The only rearsets that I can see not having that issue is Woodcraft, because they use the OEM jack up plates...And were talking about a very simple bracket, if it does need to be made. No waiting it would all be done at the same time, quick fast like last time

Thanks Johnny, that's what I'm hoping for man. Already placed the order and should be here soon. I hope. :D

Went through 3 sets of rearsets last season, glad I had the kawi kits and tons of spares

I now use Woodcraft rearsets. Good grip, reliable, well-made, inexpensive and the parts are readily available for little money. The Lightechs on the Pro bike are junk imho.
