I just picked up a 2006 Kawasaki 650R and wanted to add frame sliders. You folks have any recommendations?

Have heard nothing but good things about Woodcraft.
Sweet. I see you have them on your bike. Where they easy to install?
Just a warning great place but they only ship ups.. you get nailed with all the other fees when it gets to your door.
P.S. don't know if its the case for your bike but for an F4i you can get No-cut and Cut frame sliders where as the cut frame sliders you have to cut through the fairings. But for us the No-cuts cause more damage then no frame sliders.
A guy I know on the other forum had his bike fall over in a parking lot and it pushed the No-cut frame slider into the engine and caused alot of internal damage.
Just put a set on a friend's 650r a couple of weeks ago. the cut is no big deal if you know what you're doing. Which i didn't. First hole is a teeny bit off and messy, 2nd hole was perfect first shot. So now i know what i'm doing and got to practice on someone else's bike.Have heard nothing but good things about Woodcraft.

You use a hole saw?
Yes. Some pics from when I put them on my CBR last year:![]()

Use a tripod with a laser pointer. Drill a pilot hole. Make sure you use a drill hole saw on the correct angle. Otherwise the finished hole will be too high. I cannot stress that enough. Do not use the hole saw with the plastics on the bike. You will risk drilling through hoses and such. Have fun!![]()
