That should cover the cost of a good rainsuit!
Years ago a friend and I were out for a ride and left our rain gear at home; it was clear when we left. Well we ran into the worst downpour I have ever seen. We just kept riding; once you are soaked to the skin it does not matter anymore. I now keep the rain gear in one of my side cases at all times!
You don't want to be caught in these even with a rain suit - that was Kitchener last night and I was in Guelph with a lovely dry ride.....go figure.
get off safely and wait it out.

been through a couple where even keeping the bike upright stopped was a challenge and the rain was horizontal and a deluge.
The one up on the 407 at 410 last year was wild.
The cells are small but intense and blow by quickly......I made the error of thinking I could get around the swing down to 410 before it arrived......wrong......
Someone saw a funnel like this nearby I found out after.
Tip .....take the time to get the seals and neck in place properly - soaking inside a rain suit is sometimes worse than just getting soaked.
an extra bit of attention before the rain makes it far more comfortable.
I like suits with hoods....makes it easier to avoid rain down the neck.
Yeah - had gear with me ( love the Burgman for that ) but beat the rain home after a lovely couple of hours N and East of Guelph.....
