been asked a million times...

It is a good beginner bike. I have a 2006 Suzuki gs500F and in able to keep up with the 600. As far as insurance goes, I'm 23 and I pay $2300 at TD.. the SS gave me $6000+

I have a cbr600rr, its my first bike. I'm still alive. My insurance is $1500, I'm 30. Not to say I didn't slam my nuts into the tank a few times, amazing how fast you learn when your nuts are involved.

'91 GS500E. State farm, $1300 a year. 27 years old, been driving a car for 10 years. Just got my M1 this month. I do have one minor ticket against me.

I am 31 and no tickets I have a 2006 Suzuki gs500f and I pay 485 yr. It's a good bike, next yr I might upgrade but all around good bike.

i love mine and my insurance is about $1200 per year.

It'll be much cheaper next year raf. I pay $900 for my 250 and am in a much worse insurance bracket.

Yup, its that hi cause I'm new and I didn't combine it with car insurance cause I got my car a month later.

Good choice in my opinion, M696. I have a 2007 GS500 since April. Winding it up to 7k+ rpm is still lots of fun.

Insurance for me, 26 year old male in Brampton(worst rates anywhere) with one 10km/h over ticket in my car and M2 recieved in April, is $1500 with Riders Plus for Liability and fire/theft.

Not just a good starter. The old engine design hasn't changed, so most of the quirks have been worked out - almost bulletproof :). Depending on your age, your insurance will either be cheap or very cheap. ($72/mth for me (29, 1 season riding), would have been 50/mth for 30-yr-old). Was an amazing bike to learn riding on.
