Last year I went to a Harley test ride day, just for something to do and WOW, what a useless bike for anything other than straight lines( skirtster 48, scrapped just doing a right hand turn and the ride was harsh). Now I know, I wont ever buy one but the experience was fun. So I've made a list of bikes I'd like to try out this year that peak my interest.
My list would probably be considered boring to most people.
I would like to test ride some bikes that I might consider for my next bike:
Honda: Any of the CB500 series, NC 750S, CBR 650
Kawasaki: Ninja 650, ERN6
Triumph: Bonneville, Scrambler, Thruxton
Ducati: Monster 821, Scrambler
Yamaha: Bolt, FZ07
Indian: Scout
There are others that intrigue me like a Yamaha FZ09 or Suzuki GSX-S750SA but I don't know if bikes such as these are more than I could handle at this point in time.
Bmw I think it's called f800r? Checked it out at the show and loved the feel and look of it. I do want the s1000rr though. Thanks to the show also I'd like to try a victory out. I think I'd go after one if I wasn't going to get another ss

Part of this reasoning is your current interests not allowing possibility for change (possibly age related). One thing I've learned over the years is never say never. I want my wife with me when I'm not going kamakazi in corners. And for that a second bike was needed. I also said NEVER to anything but a sportbike and for those decades it was true. I can't see NOT wanting a bike with sporting capabilities but a comfortable battlestar has it's uses as well.
That being said:
Kawasaki H2R (not likely)
Guzzi California
Indian Scout
Suzuki 250 Boulevard (okay, not really but I have to pick this one up to store for a friend)
Aprilia Tuono
Last year I tried a M109R and scraped the hell out of both pegs trying to keep up with my friend on a GSXR600 during a Suzuki demo. Maybe I need to hang off more? I don't like how cruisers handle =( But I admit it'd definitely be better for 2 ups.
Back on topic: does anyone know where to test ride a SuperDuke R?
Bucket list this year is:
S1000R
CB1000R
FZ09
Might strap a passenger onto a few test rides to see how they handle versus my GSXR
Never ridden a cruiser so I would like to test ride any of them this year. Last year, I just sat on a Yamaha FZ09 in a showroom and immediately felt good about it, esp the lightness of the bike. Planning to test ride it and see how the feeling is to ride it.
Vfr800 was on my list untill I saw it was xhain drive.. what good is a touring centered bike that requires chain lubed.. can be a bummer on a long trip... hence f800st...
Had the chance to ride a friend of mine's down around Deal's Gap. i was quite enjoying it - scads of power everywhere, pretty much no matter the rpm. Unfortunately, I didn't get to ride it for more than 15 minutes - my buddy's frail physique (seriously) didn't take too well to my Triumph Daytona 675.

..vfr comes with a center stand...you can lube the chain in a few seconds..if there is a driveline issue on the beemer your trip is over.
the vfr has 20 more HP than the beemer as well and is cheaper to insure than an SS
Ya but they have belt drive... all you have to is make sure belt is good before you go out... instead lubing everyday... I prefer chain drive only for sport bikes.. personal preference I guess... also insurance played a big role in my decision making
