Where to ride, hangout spots around Hamilton? Clubs?

Hi,

I live in Dundas next to Hamilton. It's my first riding season here. I'd appreciate any suggestions on places I can ride to within an hour from Hamilton. I'm on call for air ambulance so can't be too far on most days. Hangout spots, restaurants, bars, fun roads, anything.. I don't know any riders so a club would be cool too. I ride a ZX-9R sportbike. On days off I'll look to this site and others to hook up for rides.

The only place I know of is Baranga's on the Beach, that looks neat. Places like that that make for a ride and fun hangout waiting for the phone to ring. Thanks for any suggestions.

You can often find some bikes at Wendy's/Tim mud and Centennial Parkway. Stopped there today to grab a quick bite of lunch and there was a group heading out on a quick trip around Ancaster, Dundas, some other places. I think they were going to end out near Campbellville.

I'd have gone with them but unfortunately I was on call for work in the oppos direction

I just pick a direction and go. Forget the hangout and enjoy riding. Port Dover is a good destination for scouting the talent if that's your thing. Back roads are a better bet than the highway.

Always bikes at Tim's on Mud and Centennial. Ridge road has great views of the city. You can take any of the access roads like Wolverton or McNeilly down the mountain from Ridge. They are all very steep and twisty. Hwy 8 is a great ride into Niagara. Lots of vinyards to look at.

Timmie's at Bay & King in Hamilton downtown. Always bikes there! Cruisers on one side, sport bikes on the other. As long as the weather is good, you'd find 50 or more bikes there any time from 7pm to 11pm.
