I'm pretty good at clutch-up wheelies to pop the front up over logs and rocks, and I can chase a power wheelie down as good as the next guy (who also chases power wheelies). Also, I've looped several wheelies while motoring up hill climbs, had to bench press the bike off my chest more than a few times.
Was at a motorcycle event last weekend, tried out a wheelie machine designed to let you find and hold the balance point without looping the bike:
As usual, I was in loop out territory right off the bat. Thank gawd for the two straps holding the front wheel down. A few tries later, got used to throttle and rear brake control to keep the wheel aloft.
Eager to try slow wheelies on my own bike now!
Wife says she will have 9-1-1 Emergency Services on speed-dial.
