trying to wrap my head around a few things

I am another one hit by the Jevco/Intact rate hike :(

Bike - 1993 Kawasaki Ninja 250/EX250
Rider - 35 y/o. M license since last weekend :). No convictions - clean driving and riding record

Given the age of the bike, should I be opting for any collision or comprehensive coverage? TD is offering me the best rate from $367 to $451 per year - depending on which comprehensive or collision coverage I select or de-select. Does anyone know if TD accepts a lower deductible han $500 for each of the two coverages?

If the worst happens and the bike gets totalled, what would be the realistic amount that the insurance company will give me? I think the value of the bike is around $1,500 but I could be off my rocker...

Normally I would say bare minimum, but as the post above mentions go for full for $7 a month...

I'm 22, I wish I was as lucky... Then again I enjoy my youth too :p
