Tour of Europe in 1953...

Very nice indeed, A colleague recreated a trip his father had done just before WWII He lost his father during the conflict but finally did the trip in 2008. He also acquired the DKW like the one his dad had used on the trip but did the trip on a BMW GS.

He re-posed many of the phots where landmarks still existed. It was intewresting to see see the contrasting photos of 1938 and 2008 and the respective size of the snow caps.
