Did this loop today:
The weather was warm, relatively. So I packed light, took off all the quilts beneath the riding gear, and went on my way.
Washago came quickly and took the turn off to southwood road. Wonderful switchbacks and tight corners! The road was excellent except for a few patches of gravel and sand here and there. And devoid of any traffic. And the V Strom leans well, if you want it to.

Now, there’s a railway crossing (1st one when going north) It pops up just as you exit a tight left hander. So be careful. I had to brake while still in the corner, which was scary.
Another wonderful road is the Frank Miller Memorial Rte (hiway 26) Not as technical, but equally enjoyable.
From Rosseau, I went up the Old Nippising road. I thought I might try it, and see where it leads me as whatever I read about it online, found it very interesting. It was ok for the first 8-10 kms, And then the road turned into a dirt/mud path that forked up to the left, right after I crossed a narrow bridge. I went a little further and then turned back. I wasn’t too keen on going down the narrow muddy path further without any tools or knowledge of where this leads to. Perhaps next time I’ll go more prepared.
Anyways, I turned back to Rosseau, and decided to cut the route short as I had spent more time than expected on the Nissiping road. Took the 141 and 24 down to Brackenrig and then 118 West to Bracebridge.
Finally looped around Cooper Falls and entered the Highway 11 at Wasago. Triple digit run till Highway 9 off the 400 towards Orangeville. I thought I’d divert through the Forks of the Credit road. Lovely road, but a waste of time and it was overcrowded. Finally reached back home in Burlington at 6.

.. On a serious note, I enjoy dirt roads, just as much as tarmac. The bike was fine; did take a few hits to the belly pan, and I had to turn play around with the traction control on muddy stretches to handle it better. I found the front suspension a bit too firm for my liking. Perhaps a little more damping would fix that - Though I should have reduced the air pressure. Nonetheless, with the right set of tires, underbelly protection and in the right hands, this bike can go anywhere with ease
