Temporary Stickers Before Registering as "Fit"?

Hey all,

I'm selling a bike this week, and wondering if the purchaser can still get it registered as unfit, but be able to ride with a 10 day grace period to get a safety? Since stickers are not a thing anymore, I'm not sure if this is still possible.

Would appreciate any info if you know how this works these days!

Bought a truck recently without a safety. Registered it as unfit and asked for a temp sticker. No sticker, but the 10 day period is marked on the 'unfit' registration. When the buyer re-registers the bike with the safety the new registration paper will have the proper expiration date.

Bought a bike last Oct, bike was fit before, no safety, MTO gave me a plate and a temp sticker, rode the bike home

for a 10 day:

buyer will need to provide an insurance policy number - correct me if Im wrong, its been awhile..

current seller's ownership must state fit..
