Do we have such a thread? I'm thinking shop tips and tricks you've learned in the past that might be helpful to others?
I'd start off by offering these two:

1- Removing a worn bearing race when it's hard to access the backside (in a blind hole)
On my KLR the steering neck swells in the middle on the inside making it hard to get a tool to catch on the inner lip of the race. To get it out I put a small bead of weld (1/2") on either side of the race. When the weld cools it shrinks and shrinks the race some too. Hard to believe but the race will just fall out. However be VERY careful to only weld the race. (Don't be like me and need to get out the Dremel)

2- Bending aluminum
After pranging a clutch or brake lever you run a high risk of it snapping if you just bend it back cold. To be sure you are applying enough heat rub it with a bar of soap first. When the soap turns black (or dark brown) you're good to bend it back.
