So I’m looking for some different hand grips for my s40, I do really like the looks of these ones but I can seem to find them anywhere ? Aren’t all grips usually universal tho or am I wrong ?

Most grips used to fit 22mm or 7/8 bars
Left side fit direct on the handlebar and right side was 1 inch to fit over throttle sleeve.
Bigger motorcycles are now using bigger diameter bars.
Beware of grips for quads as they are the same size both sides.

I think Kuryakyn has made those for decades. Available with or without heat. I suspect knockoffs will be a lot cheaper. What size bar is handlebar (7/8" or 1")? Kuryakyn's webpage is pretty good but they don't appear to have 2008 S40 as a filter.

I tried Kuryakyn grips. Didn't like the feel. I have used Grip Puppies on a couple bikes and been very happy with them.

Well right now the bike has red grips with sparkles in them lol bike has factory bars which I believe are 1”
Hoping to find some good comfy ones, factory grips I’ve seen are 160$ for the pair

So does any grip the right diameter and length fit then ? Or do I need to get ones that have my bike listed for “fitment” ??

Doubt your S40 uses 1" grips if it's on the original handlebar. Should be 7/8" grips. If your bars are original, best to ask on a Suzuki S40 group to double check... my assumption is 7/8".

Well i measured my bar with my caliper and it’s 1.086”

If you are on a budget and those red grips are good other than the colour they could be dyed with something like this.

Look for a dye that they say is good for acrylics.
If you have access to a air compressor it is easy to remove the grips by inserting a blow attachment under the grip and breaking the seal with air pressure.
Hair spray make a good grip glue on the cheap FWIW.
