With the weather we are having I have done more riding in September than all the rest of season.
Saturday was a CVMG Eastern shield BBQ with a History Tour ride before the meal.
I rode the 1980 Moto Guzzi V50 and rolled up about 200km with about half on unpaved roads.
I may have developed lung cancer from following a 1939 British bike smoking like it was running on
Nova Scotia soft coal.
Great ride in the wilds of the ("North of 7") and a great meal.
High cloud in the morning but turned sunny later in the day.

Sunday I was too meet some members of the Ontario Guzzi Riders in Port Perry to join in a ride to Bobcaygeon.
Because I had to blast down the 401 to get to Port Perry in time for the meet-up I decided to extend the ride to 2 days.
I left Bath at about 7:30 with some light fog in low lying areas.
Shortly after I got on the 401 my iPad stopped charging so I could not run my navigation system
all the time to keep from running down the battery.
The first part of the route was simple and once I joined the group it was just follow the leader.
I left the other 6 riders after lunch in Bobcaygeon and headed to my motel just north of Fenelon Falls.
At the motel I discovered my iPad charging problem was just a loose connection and was an easy fix.
When I left the motel Monday morning at 8:00am it was 8 degrees and light fog in low lying areas close to lakes.
I had on my cool riding gear but by the time I made it to Bancroft in the bright sun
I was regretting leaving my mesh jacket at home.
There was very little traffic Monday and was able to make good time so I was home by 1:00.
With the dry summer this year there seemed to be more brown than red in the maple tree leaves.
I already have another day ride planned for Thursday.

I gotta start doing some vintage rides - I’ll bet they are fun.

Not because I’m turning vintage, I have a few older bikes that really need more exercise.
