Hey guys, i will be starting my motorcycle safety course tomorrow in Sheridan College. I would just like to ask what to expect from the in course day? Like what do i need to bring and stuff. I bought my helmet and gloves and jacket but still undecided for boots. Can i buy work boots from lets say walmart and use them at the course? THanks guys !

most likely yes, i believe the rule is as long as they cover your angle

I used steel toe boots during my course last year and even used them during all my outings in Nov 2012, as stated above, they have to cover the ankles. I picked up proper boots for this season.

I bought some cheap boots from Walmart for my course (dif place) and it was fine.

great ! thanks guys! i have a pair of above the ankle nike shoes but they said its not acceptable. So guess i have to make a trip to Walmart lol

Make sure there's no steel toe in the boots
Epic first post in 4 years! What rock have you been hiding under?? lol.

as long as his angle is no greater than 45 degrees, work boots should be fine :-)

I hear the angel of the dangle can show off the heat of the meat ?

ahahah oh i was so confused lmfaoo! and i dont need my gear for the first day right? its in class stuff so just a binder and paper and pen im guessing?

Only take gear if you have questions about it for the Friday night.
Most of the night class is spent filling in forms.

Take Plenty of water, you'll get dehydrated pretty fast even on a cool day.
Don't plan on partying Saturday night. It's quite a workout if you aren't used to it, you'll need your rest for Sunday.

Have a great time!

No gear required but make sure to take your M1.
They will take it at class session and fill out application to upgrade to M2

I just finished the course last weekend at Sheridan in Brampton. The instructors are top notch. The classroom instructor even mentioned this website and told everyone to check it out.
Work boots are fine or even hiking boots anything that covers your ankles Dress appropriately...I froze my butt off last Saturday.
