Route 307 north of Ottawa

I drove a reasonable bit of this road in the car today, for some reason I'd missed it on the bike taking the north/south roads to the east and west of the 307 instead.

I've obviously been missing something...this road is fantastic in places, especially just south of Poltimore. Nearly all of it is good surface and the stretch I just mentioned is twisty as hell...fantastic...many of the curves are listed as 35kmh advisories which tells you what they are like and they are mostly linked together in the area that I mentioned.

This is a good road to take an alternative route towards Wakefield which is a great stop in this area of Quebec. Great food at many different places to eat on the lakefront. Nice laid back atmosphere.

Yeah we were in that area last weekend - great roads but some have gravel stretches unexpectedly.
I'll for sure do more riding in that area next year.

Cheap place to camp is Horizon X Kayak camp. $10 a night for cot and large shared tent. Gorgeous setting.
