Sorry for the delay, but only recently learned of his passing.
He and I met while training to become motorcycle riding instructors and became quick friends. Years ago we did an epic 8 day/8000km ride to Utah & Colorado - him on his bmw 1200gs, me on my 650vstrom. I had a son / he had plans to move back out west and the friendship faded. Googled his name to see if he made it out to BC (he'd had a big vision of a resort hotel in the mountains for riders), and got hit with the news. He was an avid rider, track & long distance, so thought I'd spread the unfortunate news.
