Rim Tape Question

I recently changed all the fairings from lime green to white/red and I ordered some red reflective rim tape to replace the current green stripes.

Just curious if i could avoid the mess of removing the old rim tape and just clean it off and stick the new rim tape over?

Anyone done this before?

Just use a heatgun. The old rim tape will come off in seconds.

I would like to see how it looks, tried putting it on but it didn't go well, so the heat gun helped in removing it...

that being said anyone that knows how to put this on, want to lend me a hand, in exchange for some cold beverages.....I even have the ones that come in pre cut strips and are pre curved, the straight tape didn't go so well at all....
