With increasing technology in mobile phones they should create an app which can detect sense of danger like a fast approaching car or bike at our back or behind the cross roads. An airbag technology in a car should be applied to a rider's jacket so that it can bulge like a balloon with sensors kept on it. This technology can save many lives. An average of around 100 a year will die in our city.
Hope someone like steve jobs keeps an eye on this idea.

NOTE: This is the first article I can recall reading that said the cage "struck the motorcyclist"......wow. Not the usual media slant.
Much closer to PD than "outside London". Maybe the press was more m/c friendly.
