Ride To Moto GP in Indianapolis?

Anyone considering going to the MotoGP in Indianapolis at the end of the month?

I was hoping to do a dragon run this month, but work dictates otherwise, not allowing to take off the required days; instead thinking of heading to see MotoGP weekend in Indianapolis.

Considering leaving friday around noon and returning on monday...

2-3 nights hotel (motel preferably) split b/w riders, event tix, food, gas.. $650ish?

I would encourage you to take something other than superslab route down there. It is boring enough in a car, it would be torture on a bike.

I think a few people from this forum went last year and had a more interesting route down, and an interstate route back.

We paid ~650 per couple to trailer our bikes from Windsor to Indy, gas, hotel (2 nights only at a very nice hotel), food, and tix. Not too bad for a spectacular weekend.

Be sure to hit the town on saturday night, only bikes are permitted in the downtown core. Try to see a flat track race if you can as well.
