rf-1000 vs rf-1100

My rf-1000 is turning 5 years old this April, thinking of upgrading to the new rf-1100. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the new version and can offer insight to differences, new features, fit, etc.

Fits the same as the RF1000, so you won't have problems there.

The 1100 has a fully removable liner, more available cheek pad sizes, a slightly bigger visor which seals better when closed, and a better venting system (seriously good airflow). All the good stuff of the RF1000, just better.

i have the rf-1100 and i like my hjc more... The rf-1100 fogs up way to much while my hjc doesn't at all. But if u like the rf-1000 you would like the rf-1100 as its not much different.

P.S i always have my vents open up but the only way to remove the fog is by opening my visor.

got an rf 1100, it is essentially a better version of the 1000. as sushii mentioned for fog, i just use one of those anti-fog sprays, works like a charm, or just crack the screen a bit.

the sizing is the same from 1000 to 1100 so if you fit perfectly on an 1000, then you will be good to go on the 1100. if it doesnt, then you can just get dif cheek pads.

basically what everyone said so far. you cant go wrong with the 1100 if you liked your 1000

I find my experience to be pretty much the same. RF-1000 saved my melon, but obviously I needed a new helmet. I tried several helmets at GP - three Arai, AGV, Shoei RF-1100 and Qwest, Soumy. RF-1100 definitely fit my head size/shape the best, same as RF-1000. Qwest was the next best fit, almost the same, I think 1100 fit a bit more snug and a bit more comfy. The upgrades that I like are removable liner and better venting (more vents). I never had my 1000 fog up on me - you can always open 1000/1100 with the lever on the side, it opens the visor just a little bit to prevent fogging, most helmets including HJC don't have this option. I also have the piece that goes over the nose installed. With these two things done, my helmet does not fog up.
