Quotes: Ninja 300, 650, ZX6R & CTX700

Called insurance company for quotes. 33 year old male, home & car with insurance already. Coverage something like: basic + collision & $500/$500/$1,000,000

2014 Ninja 300 ABS - $564
2014 Ninja 650 ABS - $1164
2014 Ninja ZX6R ABS - $1212
2014 Honda CTX700 ABS - $1284

So my insurance company only looks at two things apparently: engine displacement & MSRP. Who cares about HP right?

I think this is common knowledge...but I had to share. I was shocked.

yup....

they are legalized extortionists....and get away with what ever they feel like....and the government backs them up, and even mandates what they should do..

pay to ride, or don't and no riding....

I just look at the crap they pulled with snowmobiles, pay a full year for what 3 months of sledding....about as bad as riding a bike....

They are definitely extorting some people, but not all. What shocked me was the ZX6R (supersport) being about the same as a Ninja 650 (sport), and cheaper than the Honda CTX700 (cruiser).

I thought outboard (boat) motors went by HP?
